Description
This training position opens the door for a career in a vertically coordinated sixth-generation family owned food company, who has proudly served its community for over 115 years. Our training program provides exposure to the inner workings of not only our Finance department, but also key areas of our company, including Operations and Sales. Get ready to put your education and skills to work; you will be given the opportunity to interact with all facets of the business on day one. The first 60 days will give you a broad overview of the variety of Finance areas within our company which includes:

Cost Accounting - working with the operations team to better understand production variances and product costs.
Sales Analytics – collaborating with our sales team to analyze volume and profit data by customer and product.
Revenue Reconciliation – working closely with account managers to clear customer deductions and analyze price credits.
Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable – hands-on experience with collecting customer invoices and issuing vendor payments.
Accounting – reconciling key accounts, participating in the monthly close and analyzing the resulting financial statements.
Treasury – analyzing bank statements and reconciling to the general ledger.

Upon reaching the 60 day mark of employment, the team member will then be placed into the Internal Audit / Special Projects role to gain an even broader understanding of the Company through completion of various finance-related projects and assistance with internal controls testing for the external auditors. After completing at least six months in the Internal Audit / Special Projects role, the team member will then be eligible to apply for a permanent position within the Company. Also, upon successful completion of the Leadership Development Program, the team member will have the opportunity to be nominated to participate in the Company's Leadership Academy which includes monthly business acumen training and exposure to the entire Clemens Food Group, as well as learning principles of great leadership.

Requirements POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work in a highly organized fashion and in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and with individuals from multiple disciplines and with varying levels of experience.
• Ability to function at a high level within a team environment.
