Description
Title: *Dir. of Patient Safety & Process Improvement - Deaconess Hospital
Location: WA-Spokane

This position will be responsible for the implementation of programs that improve patient safety and include evaluation of processes that impact patient outcomes.
> The Director will focus on the monitoring of hospital wide processess that encompasses all aspects of service and quality outcomes and "best practice". These parameters include: critical care, ED, medical/surgical (tower units) and procedural areas (OR/cath labs, radiology, short stay units, etc.). This position collaborates with other department directors and the senior leadership team.
> He/she will facilitate systems analysis to promote and improve patient safety as well as make recommendations including facilitating educational programs based upon availability and identified needs. The Patient Safety Director will perodically conduct environmental safety tours with the EOC team to identify and rectify any patient safety/red flag issues in the environment/clinical areas in collaboration with the department director.

Education:. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required. Masters in Health Care Administration or like field preferred

Experience: Minimum of five (5) years clinical experience required (acute med/surg and or critical care preferred) three (3) years experience in quality and/regulatory standards experience preferred. A working knowledge of quality improvement principles and health information. Must possess a positive working relationship with Medical Staff, department leaders and hospital staff throughout the facility. Working knowledge of computer systems, Excel, etc. Must be able to meet deadlines in a timely manner.

WA State RN license required
