Title: Emergency Department Technician (Paramedic)-Valparaiso Hospital Campus-Resource
Location: IN-Valparaiso
The paramedic in the ED is responsible for the delivery of certain elements of patient care that promote the safety and well-being of all patients. Responsible for assisting in patient care in accordance with Indiana scope of practice. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Utilizes knowledge of patient's age and cultural diversity in the provision of patient care. Contributes to the provision of quality patient care through the performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.

Will work one 12 hour shift per week including rotating weekends and holidays. Shift hours are 11 am-11 pm; 3 pm-3 am, and 7 pm-7 am.

High School Diploma or GED

Current Indiana Paramedic Certification

CPR certified (American Heart Association)

ACLS certified (American Heart Association)

One year paramedic experience (excluding student paramedic clinical experience)

Preferred applicant will possess previous emergency department experience.
