JOB SUMMARY:

Patient assessment, high technological interventions, patient education, planning and coordinating all aspects of patient care. The desirable candidate will have clinical, analytical and communication skills consistent with RN duties and expectations of the ICU patient, physicians and co-workers. Teamwork is a highly valued quality. Attendance must be compliant with hospital policy. Meets expectation of Core Measures, National Patient Safety Goals and Community Care Initiatives. The ICU nurse will provide total care for medical and surgical telemetry, intermediate and critical patients including post operative recovery, hemodynamic monitoring/management, arrhythmia management, EKG/rhythm interpretation, shock management, and moderate sedation.

EDUCATIONAL / LICENSING:

Current licensure as RN, State of Oregon. Specific clinical experience may be required for specific position. Current BLS required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Two years critical care experience preferred. Highly prefer ACLS, TNCC, PALS certification and successful completion of a critical care class.

HIGHLY PREFERRED SKILLS:

* Able to meet physical and sensory requirements of job.
* Able to successfully complete orientation of job performance.
* Able to meet health standards for hospital employment.
* Prior acute-care experience preferred, new graduates will be considered.
