THE OPPORTUNITY

The IT Salesforce Developer requires advanced database architectural skills with very strong prior experience in Microsoft .Net and SQL development. Having come from a Microsoft database and development background, the ideal candidate will have a passion for creating data solutions for customers and working as a top-notch full time Salesforce.com developer and architect to make that solution a reality. This position will leverage their strong Microsoft architectural best practices and apply these principles to the Salesforce.com platform (architecture, APEX, Visual Force, etc) as QHR’s dedicated Force.com developer. He or she must be able to think” databases when discussing business issues, design process and dataflow rapidly, and document all of this using detailed, yet simple to understand methods. Clarity of thought, simplicity of design, and strong communication are attributes required to convince senior level business users that the presented solution meets their needs. This person will own Salesforce.com development, leveraging the rapid development platform to turnaround business solutions quickly and intelligently. Desire to solve business issues by leveraging technology will be the candidate’s driving motivator.

SCOPE OF POSITION

Ability to translate customer needs into normalized data solutions, asking challenging questions to flesh out full needs assessment.
*
Must demonstrate advanced development proficiency, designing and developing solutions that are efficient, best practice, tiered/abstracted and well formed/normalized for future rapid add-on features.
*
Experience with SQL Server 2005/2008 and periphery technologies such as Reporting Services, Notification Services, Analysis Services, SSIS, and Service Broker.
*
Demonstrates a high level of competence, best practice and understanding of SQL Server architecture, database design best practices, and experience with Enterprise level systems.
*
Functions as database architect; capable of defining database objects and relationships as indicated based on requirements of the application.
*
Collaborates with the existing IT development team in design and extensive modification of a database and work with data modeling tools to create ERD.
*
Ability to adapt to changes in project priorities; comfortable with a fast-paced environment with numerous and dynamic initiatives. This role requires an active understanding of the business in order to anticipate related needs and adjustments within the system to drive better reporting and efficiencies.
*
Comfortable developing on multiple platforms as needed (e.g. SQL Server, ASP.Net, etc).
*
High level of interest in exploring and leveraging new technologies and systems; development on new and various platforms will be required. Leveraging APIs and Web Services will be vital for integration between all QHR systems.
*
Manage and organize data solutions for later reporting and insightful transparency of the business for executive management. Practices proven software deployment and rollout strategies.
*
Manage the day to day maintenance and administration needs of the platform (e.g. user records, permissions, data updates, etc). Routine custom reports, dashboard creation and modification will be required.
*
Ability to work independently, designing and architecting rapid solutions and proposals by oneself
*

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

*
Very strong .Net and SQL development skills. Experience with Salesforce.com developer toolkit including Apex Classes, Controllers and Triggers, Visualforce, Force.com IDE, Migration Tool, Web Services a plus.Proficiency in SOQL, HTML, XML, JavaScript, SQL, Java or C#, SOAP-based web services.

3-5 years experience corporate level database management and query writing.
*
Working knowledge of data management, interactive reporting systems, solutions, and architecture.
*
Knowledge of product management and roll out practices (preferably Agile). Version control experience required.
*
Strong technical background and knowledge in SQL Server, Microsoft Office and the Microsoft platform.
*
Background in business and/or accounting a plus.
*
Strong understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite and how to leverage a large portion of its functionality.
*
Experience with ASP.Net and the capabilities that are offered and available.
*
Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
*
Good written and oral communication skills.
EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATION

*
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and/or technical certification.
*
Salesforce development certification(s) a plus.
*
SQL Server database experience with exposure to good data architectural design.
