Full Time - Pharmacy Technician
This position will work 8:00am-4:30pm Monday thru Thursday and 7:30am-4:00pm on Friday.
No Evenings...No Weekends!!!
You’ll assist in various pharmacy activities, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, and other duties not requiring the review of a pharmacist. The majority of tasks and responsibilities are related to preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications. Other duties include maintaining patient records, and setting up, packaging, and labeling of medication doses and billing. You will perform job duties under minimal supervision within pharmacy standards, written procedures and guidelines, and state regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for the accurate completion of daily activities and the follow through of tasks to ensure completion.
Facility: San Marcos Treatment Center has been in continuous operation for more than 68 years, providing high-quality mental health evaluation and treatment to a unique population of impaired adolescents. Many of our patients have experienced multiple treatment failures, are difficult to manage, and have a complex array of behavioral, neurodevelopmental, or neuropsychiatric problems. Many of our patients require specialty treatment for multiple psychiatric disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, neuropsychiatric disorders, sexual abuse, and/or substance abuse/chemical dependency. We are situated on 65 acres of wooded areas complete with gentle rolling hills in the Texas Hill Country. Our facility is located in the heart of San Marcos, 25 miles south of Austin and 50 miles north of San Antonio. With its abundance of trees and wildlife, this idyllic setting provides a healthy and serene environment particularly suitable for an adolescent treatment facility.
The San Marcos Treatment Center campus is divided into 14 living units totaling 209 beds. A variety of therapeutic programs are located in units across the campus. Young people are matched to a program/unit based on clinical needs, diagnoses, intellectual functioning, chronological age, physical size, peer group, and other relevant factors.
