Pharmacy Technician - Part time 
Huntsville Memorial Hospital, Huntsville, TX



New Pharmacy Technician graduates welcome!  Willing to train!!



Description: You’ll assist in various pharmacy activities, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, and other duties not requiring the review of a pharmacist. The majority of tasks and responsibilities are related to preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications. Other duties include Pyxis fill, IV admixtures including TPNs, unit dosing, maintaining patient records, and setting up, packaging, and labeling of medication doses and billing. You will perform job duties under minimal supervision within pharmacy standards, written procedures and guidelines, and state regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for the accurate completion of daily activities and the follow through of tasks to ensure completion. 



This position is scheduled 40 hours per two week pay period includes every other weekend (Saturday Sunday) from 8a-4p.



Qualifications:
• Certified pharmacy technician with TX licensure required
• Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred; not required
• IV certification is highly preferred
• A valid Texas drivers license in good standing and personal motor vehicle to drive occasionally for business purposes is required
• Excellent written and verbal communication is required



Facility: For nearly a quarter century, Huntsville Memorial Hospital, an 88 bed, Joint Commission accredited hospital, has been making strides in setting the standard for quality, cost-effective health care in Walker County and the surrounding communities.
