Pharmacy Technician, Full time

Description: As a Pharmacy Technician, You’ll assist in various pharmacy activities, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, and other duties not requiring the review of a pharmacist. The majority of tasks and responsibilities are related to preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications. Other duties include maintaining patient records, and setting up, packaging, and labeling of medication doses and billing. You will perform job duties under minimal supervision within pharmacy standards, written procedures and guidelines, and state regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for the accurate completion of daily activities and the follow through of tasks to ensure completion.



 This position is scheduled a combination of day and evening shifts during the week and may occasionally be scheduled to provide weekend coverage at an affiliated local clinic based upon business needs.



Qualifications:



  • Florida Pharmacy Technician licensure/certification PTCB required

  • 3 years recent Pharmacy Technician experience in a hospital or outpatient/retail setting is preferred

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Facility: The home of UF Cancer Center at Orlando Health is the state-of-the-art Charles Lewis Pavilion, a 220,000 square-foot structure completed in 2003.
