Summer Achievement Camp is a four week educational camp for grade school children (k-8). Its focus is to support students in Math and Reading and in exploring their connection to the global community. Interns will meet one week prior camp to develop unit plans for math and reading, as well as integrating global and peace themes.

Intern responsibilities will include daily lesson plans, developing evaluation tools such as subject tests, post-tests, arts and crafts, group presentations, game days and field trip excursions.

This internship is an excellent context for education, social work, and psychology majors to have hands-on-experience working with youth. Each intern will essentially be teaching class of four students.

Training and supervision will be provided.

While interns receive no stipend, academic credit--based solely on your institution's criteria--may be earned. Upon request, we can serve as references and provide you with letters of recommendations.
