Description: JOB SUMMARY Compliance Coordinator is responsible for designing, implementing and coordinating an institution-wide, comprehensive stewardship compliance program. Accountable for the implementation of Foundation and System policies related to restricted funds management and compliance. Responsible for outlining the procedures for gift request/acceptance, fund establishment, stewardship reporting, accounting/reporting and compliance review within the restricted funds management system. Works with key stakeholders to ensure institutional departments are correctly using current-use and endowed funds as well as ensuring appropriate review is audited of endowed funds. Activities include producing stewardship reports for contributors on use of donations as well a financial reports on all endowed funds. Ensures Foundation compliance with TMHS policies and procedures governing donations and restricted/unrestricted funds. Responsible for increasing awareness among Foundation staff of relevant TMHS policies and procedures and legal issues such as HIPAA and Stark Law. Works with Donor Marketing and Communications to develops donor recognition and signage within TMHS. Works with Foundation leadership to develop comprehensive stewardship plans for all major contributions and provides oversight on the implementation of plans. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS A bachelor's degree required in accounting, finance or legal, with an advanced degree preferred (masters or JD)
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 'Minimum of 5-7 years experience, preferably in health care field (or a comparably complex organization), in development, stewardship, advancement services or related field. Previous experience interacting with donors or other high net worth individuals is preferred. 'Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Writing samples required. 'Understanding of fundraising principles. 'Proficiency in prioritizing and managing multiple, diverse and on-going projects. 'Good interpersonal skills and ability to appropriately manage sensitive and confidential information. 'Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel.. 'Experience working with a complex donor database preferred.
