Assists in the documentation of various audit projects.

Receives job assignments from the Manager.

Works under specific direction of the auditor in charge of the particular project, as assigned by the Manager.

Prepares and indexes working papers; performs various procedures established under generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to verify accuracy and validity of client's financial matters.

Maintains and submits daily time reports via the firms internal time and billing system, including breakdown of hours on each assignment.

Acquires the skills necessary to develop quality client relationships and loyalty.

Performs other related work as required or requested.

Required Skills:

Education: Bachelors degree in accounting.

Knowledge:

• Requires basic knowledge of accounting and the ability to apply and communicate information and procedures.

• Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), other comprehensive bases of accounting, unique or specialized accounting principles, and financial statement presentations.

• Demonstrates understanding of generally accepted auditing standards and common audit procedures and techniques.

Skills: Must possess these effective skills and abilities:

• Possesses thorough analytical skills.

• Ability to organize work and set daily priorities.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Demonstrates strong personal computer skills, including spreadsheet software.

Preferred Skills:

Education: CPA designation or currently working toward CPA designation.

Experience: Prior experience with public accounting or auditing.

Knowledge: Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and theories.

Skills: Demonstrates strong spreadsheet software skills.
