Countryside Association for People With Disabilities is a private, non-profit organization serving children and adults with developmental and other disabilities. Based in Palatine, Illinois, Countryside offers a variety of support services including vocational training, in-home respite and family support. Founded in 1954, Countryside today serves more than 600 people each year residing throughout Northern Cook and Lake Counties.

Social Services Professional Internship is available Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30am to 4:00pm. The Social Services Professional Intern would provides services with the adult individuals with a disability in our day programming department assisting with programs and activities to keep individuals actively engaged throughout the day. The Social Services Professional Intern also may provide services to adults with a disability in our work training program teaching individuals served job tasks with subcontract work. The Social Services Professional Intern would acquire skills and training by working directly with the individuals served in our day programs.
