Job Type: Full Time Position Summary:
The Business Analyst serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet business needs. Assists in business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology.
Translates high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications. Identifies business, operational and technical tasks, scope, time constraints and task interdependencies.
Responsible for end-to-end ownership of projects and project planning activities in area of expertise. Reviews test plans and results. Assists with the resolution of test incidents. Reports on project status and impact analysis on an ongoing basis. Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business area to resolve problems on an ongoing business. Negotiates agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business unit and IT from initial requirements to final implementation.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Functions as a Lead Business Analyst on large projects.
May have responsibility for a team of Business Analysts, and is responsible for providing guidance, direction, feedback and coaching to ensure team effectiveness.
Light travel may be necessary - no more than 1-2 weeks a quarter. Required Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to produce concise, clear and complete requirements documentation. Ability to clearly articulate the system solution to all business partners and IT partners. Experience facilitating meetings with large groups of business and IT representatives required. Experience supporting large projects and concurrent projects required. Strong problem solving skills to identify and help project team find solutions to issues. Demonstrate the ability to seek alternatives, new ideas, and/or approaches to problems. Strong interpersonal skills, to help negotiate priorities and to resolve conflicts among project stakeholders. Demonstrate an understanding of the relationships between various applications and systems. Motivate others and provide innovative solutions for team improvement. Demonstrate advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office Tools. Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools. Experience in the Health Care and/or PBM industry a plus. Technical and development background a plus. Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year experience with salesforce.com Demonstrated experience utilizing Agile methodology Current salesforce.com Administrator certification a plus Education:
Bachelor Degree in Business, Information Systems, or Computer Science required. If no degree, two additional years of experience are required for each year of college not attained. Business Overview:
