Job Type: Full Time Position Summary:
Responsible for the direct daily management of branch pharmacy supervisors, pharmacists, and technicians providing clinical and distributive pharmacy services for all medications dispensed by the Caremark Specialty Pharmacy Network. Critical management responsibilities include provision of clinical guidance and direction to staff, scheduling, adherence to standard operating procedures, staff training, problem solving and follow-up, performance monitoring and management, and data gathering and report preparation. Additionally, this position impacts pharmacy operating efficiency and profitability by maximizing resources available to supervised staff to provide cost-effective medication management and distributive functions. Provides effective leadership and direction to all direct reports while managing and fostering a dynamic and progressive work environment characterized by integrity, trust, and respect for all employees. Required Qualifications:
* Degree in pharmacy from an accredited School of Pharmacy and must hold a current license as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of KS. * Ability to read and interpret common pharmaceutical journals. * Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or member of the business community. * Ability to effectively present information to customers both internal and external. Ability to apply mathematical concepts to pharmacy dispensing functions. * Ability to apply basic accounting principles and analyze financial reports. * Ability to identify and solve practical problems with a variety of concrete variables in standardized situations. * Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions. * Ability to analyze, interpret and resolve performance issues. * Basic computer skills required including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel spreadsheets. * Strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and detail orientation important for this position. * Ability to respond to change easily by prioritizing activities and to work simultaneously on multiple projects. Preferred Qualifications:
At least 5 years experience as a registered staff pharmacist and at least 3 years managerial or supervisory experience preferred. Previous home health, hospital or other relevant clinical experience preferred. Education:
Degree in pharmacy from an accredited school. KS license active and in good standing. Business Overview:
