Job Type: Per Diem Position Summary:
This position is responsible for evaluating client’s eligibility for Caremark/CST programs, instructs clients and families in infusion therapy administration and delivers direct client care as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Conducts initial nursing assessments and evaluations to qualify clients for appropriateness and safety of home infusion therapy, along with any other needed specialized nursing care.
*Trains clients and/or caregivers in all procedures and equipment.
*Develops and revises, when necessary, the client’s plan of care with the client, family and physician.
*Visits all assigned clients as ordered and documents clients’ compliance, competence and tolerance to prescribed therapy, interventions and progress.
*Provides direct client care as ordered and allowed by state law.
*Assumes on-call responsibility as assigned.
*Inventories client supplies and informs pharmacy of client needs.
*Coordinates client’s care with other homecare agencies as necessary.
*Participates in services as requested.
*Assists in the marketing of Caremark/CST products and services.
*Participates in the identification of nursing CQI indicators and the collection of data.
*Other duties and projects as assigned. Required Qualifications:
Experienced RN with the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Current CPR certification required. Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years experience as a Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of recent experience providing infusion therapy to patients in their homes. Experience with Pediatric Hemophilia patients preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in IV insertion, vascular access devices and infusion pumps. Education:
Minimum of an Associate’s Degree from an accredited school of nursing and a valid nursing license in state of Alabama required. Business Overview:
