Responsibilities include filling pharmacy orders, assisting in the processing and shipping of prescriptions and telephoning patients for refills requests. Hours: 8am-6pm Monday-Friday (8 hour shifts); closed on major holidays; apothecary-type setting.

Certified pharmacy technician for specialty pharmacy located in downtown Nashville that specializes in filling prescriptions for patients who need certain high-cost biotech injectable and oral medications. These drugs typically require special storage, handling, and patient monitoring. The technician, under the direct supervision of the pharmacist, will work with the physician's office to obtain prior authorizations from payers improving medication access for the patient. Responsibilities include preparing and packaging medications, compounding medications, assisting patients with locating reimbursement coverage options, and monitoring patients for medication compliance. Required Qualifications:
2 years pharmacy tech experience; State registration required. National Certification preferred. Preferred Qualifications:
