The State Practice Manager (SPM) provides leadership in the professional practice setting and is responsible for the development of a strategic plan for assigned area of responsibility that promotes quality, minimizes risk, and appeals to stakeholders.
The SPM implements a strategic plan that advocates for and allocates resources to promote efficient, effective, safe, and competent care based upon current professional and business standards of practice while considering factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in the planning and delivery of services.
The SPM systematically enhances the quality and effectiveness of professional practice, administration, and the delivery of services. The SPM attains knowledge and competency that reflects current practice and integrates research findings into practice while evaluating his/her own practice in relation to professional standards, guidelines, relevant statutes, and regulations.
The SPM integrates ethical provisions in all areas of practice as s/he interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues. The SPM collaborates with all levels of staff, interdisciplinary teams, executive leaders, and stakeholders and advocates for the protection and rights of individuals, families, communities, populations, healthcare providers, nursing and other professions, and institutions and organizations, especially related to health and safety. Required Qualifications:
- National Certification as Family Nurse Practitioner, current DEA certification, current BLS or ACLS certification
- 3-5+ years as Family Nurse Practitioner.
- Previous management experience required.
- Previous business/retail experience desirable
- Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills
- Outstanding organization skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Initiative, creativity, problem-solving, adaptability, and flexibility
- Work without direct supervision
- Collaborate with professional colleagues to provide quality, safe care
- Consistently present a professional public-facing appearance
- Develop, maintain, and utilize effective, integrated workplace relationships that facilitate partnering across boundaries
- Masters Degree in Nursing
