Location: Warren, MI Employment Type: Full Time Security Clearance: Secret Required Experience: 8 Years Required Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Concentration: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering Description Provide C4ISR, Systems, and Engineering expertise to support the design, development, integration, test, production, and project management of Department of Defense (DoD) ground combat vehicles. Examples of areas of involvement include supporting and managing C4ISR integration, Vehicle Electronics (Vetronics), and software development. Essential Job Functions: Oversee and coordinate efforts pertaining to the development and/or integration, analysis, evlauation, and fielding of C4ISR and Vetronics systems and software for military ground vehicles. Lead Engineering projects for DoD Project Managers (PMs), and provide regular status briefs to management. Perform requirements analysis, design, implementation, test and installation pertaining to the integration of existing command and control subsystems onto the combat vehicle system. Perform project management duties and create related documents to support these efforts. Represent our customer PM office to other Army organizations and to PM office contractors. Provide systems engineering process working knowledge in support of efforts by the PM office. Develop and review engineering and contractual Scopes of Work (SOWs) for prime contractor. Interface daily with customers and other DoD organizations to solve problems. Review technical documents (ICDs, Mechanical drawings, requirements, and performance specifications). Support C4ISR systems architecture (SA) technical reviews. Develop and/or provide inputs to plans of execution to include scope, budget, resource needs, material needs, and schedule. Other duties as required. Travel as required. Required Skills: Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering; plus eight years of experience. Working knowledge of C4ISR, Vetronics, and related software on DoD ground combat vehicles. Electrical, computer, and/or systems engineering experience on DoD ground combat vehicles. Project management experience. Active Secret U.S. DoD security clearance or ability to obtain Secret clearance. Ability to work without direct supervision. Ability to daily provide high quality support and customer service to the Government customer. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Desired Skills: Experience with the Stryker vehicle platform. Experience working with TACOM, PM SBCT, and other PM and PEO offices within the Army Materiel Command. Understanding of the Army acquisition process. Working knowledge of Information Support Plan development (ISP), CJCSI 6212.01E, and technical standards profile. Experience with in-vehicle data networks. Experience with U.S. DoD communications equipment. Masters degree in engineering or business. DCS Corp is an EEO/AA Employer.
