Description

Provide analytical support to a Naval Air Systems Command Program Office on site at the DoD International Air Traffic Control Radar Beacons System, IFF, Mark XII/XIIA Systems (AIMS) Program Office. Assist in IFF and Mode S certification testing, streamline certification process, and serve as Liaison between the Navy Program Office and the AIMS PO.

Essential Job Functions:

Provide technical coordination of test events, test planning , test procedures, and scheduling for Navy Mode Select (Mode S) and Automatic Dependent Surveillance - Broadcast (ADS-B) platform certification.

Participate in Functional Requirements Document development and periodic review for Mode S and ADS-B.

Maintain close liaison with DoD AIMS PO engineers and locate and monitor status of data packeges for NAVAIR platorm certification.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

High School plus 20 years of experience.

Experience with the NAVAIR Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process.

Experience in avionics engineering integration management.

Experience with NAVAIR platform test certification requirements.

Experience with the Mode S and ADS-B requirements.

Experience with Technical Manual development and System Specification writing.

Desired Skills:

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience in developing and presenting information and decision briefs and papers.

Experience in working with diverse clients, customers, suppliers and visitors of varying levels of military organizations.
