Description

Provide C4ISR and Systems Engineering expertise to support the design, development, integration, test, and production of various Department of Defense (DoD) Ground Combat Vehicles; specific areas include Vehicle Electronics (Vetronics), C4ISR systems.

Essential Job Functions:

Provide systems engineering for ground vehicle embedded electronics systems.

Perform system and subsystem architecture trade studies, requirements analysis, decomposition and allocation, support preparation of subsystem, module and interface specifications.

HW/SW requirements definition and a key contributor to system architecture development.

Develop system integration approaches, plans and test procedures.

Provide individual contribution and technical leadership.

Provide technical problem prioritization, problem identification, localization and resolution in the integration laboratory.

Able to work in a team environment with Army customer and DCS engineers.

Travel as required.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Engineering degree plus fifteen years of experience.

Experience with DoD SIL development and/or vehicle electronics (Vetronics).

Experience with DoD ground combat vehicles.

Experience in the development with the following Software Languages: C++, Java/J2EE, C, and Ada.

Experience in development with the following Operating Systems: Embedded OS Windows, Linux/Unix, Monta Vista Linux, and VxWorks.

Knowledge of systems engineering and software development processes.

Desired Skills:

Experience with C4ISR and Vetronics on DoD ground combat vehicles.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to work without direct supervision.

Knowledge of communication systems and development of real-time software.
