We have position for a Cable Wire Designer ( Auto CAD / TIA / EIA / BICSI ) in Seattle, WA


DURATION - 6 - 12 months Contract ( Extension depending on client )

LOCATIONS - Puget Sound Area - Candidate may be required to travel to different client locations

We are looking for a resource(s) who possess the appropriate qualifications, skills, training, and background to work in a complex network services environment.

The following criteria are required:

-- Possess an associate?s degree or equivalent experience.
-- 8 years of Information Transport Systems experience. Building Industry Consulting Services International (BICSI)/Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification is preferred.
-- Have extensive experience in outside plant and building distribution design (all media types) for high-rise buildings and large industrial manufacturing campus environments.
-- Possess a comprehensive knowledge in the design and implementation of underground conduit systems and commercial/industrial building pathways and spaces.
-- Demonstrated project management skills.
-- Industry knowledge of the latest and future cabling technologies.
-- Understand LAN/WAN, voice, video, wireless, and VoIP network technology.
-- Computer proficiency in AutoCAD, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Word for Windows, and Windows XP Professional or higher.
-- Adept at problem solving and working through adverse situations. Proven ability to gain trust and confidence of customers and coworkers.
-- Must possess the ability to multitask well, use professional and clearly spoken speech, be detail oriented, and have strong organizational skills.
-- Be able to read and interpret plans and specifications from blueprints.
-- Working knowledge of building electrical, mechanical, and architectural design.
-- Proven ability to prepare project statements of work, cost estimates, specifications, and other related project documentation.
-- Demonstrate good customer skills, the ability to work independently to complete assignments, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
-- Be able to provide direction and assistance to teammates.
-- Have knowledge of the Telecommunications Industry Association/Electronics Industries Alliance (TIA/EIA) and IEEE Standards, National Electric Code, Universal Building Code, and the National Electric Safety standards.
