Be a part of the 2013 DriveTime Summer Internship Program in Phoenix

Start date: 10 week internship starting June 3rd 2013 and ending early August
Full time: Workweek is Monday – Friday from 8am-5pm

What will you learn?

Our interns will be learning how our analysts perform analytics from start to finish. They will begin by learning about our databases and the basic syntax used to extract information. Once they gain this basic understanding we will teach them some advanced Excel formulas and build on what they have used in school.

Our interns are taught about our internal reporting formats/styles and will a get a better understanding of how information is presented in our organization. Interns learn about our other reporting formats such as SharePoint and Reporting Services which are vital to information sharing. As they learn the skills needed to perform financial analysis, we will be showing them our reports/financial statements so they get a better understanding of finance/analytics and how each technical skill relates to each part of the analysis.

Once they gain the basic skills needed to perform financial analysis they can start to perform their own analytics and begin to understand how to present the information to various groups/positions in the organization. The goal is to learn a balance of technical, interpersonal and critical thinking skills and the importance of that balance in a financial analyst position.

Requirements: To qualify for an internship, you must be:

* Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with a target graduation date between December 2013 and June 2015
* Available to work 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm
* Academically strong credentials (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00)
* An excellent communicator with a positive attitude and strong work-ethic
* Proficient in Microsoft office products
* A problem solver with strong leadership, organizational and multi-tasking abilities
