Responsibilities:
·Leading the creation of large-scale architectures for a significant product area or across multiple large PayPal systems.

·Design and oversee solutions for specific use cases that provide frameworks, interfaces and services that can be extended and reused for future requirements.

·Understand the broader business context around their area and develop architecture and influence implementation to support it.

·Create complex architectural designs that are typically exemplars and require only minor refinement.

·Proactively identifies additional requirements that can benefit the proposed solution and works with other architects and engineers to design robust, generalized capabilities.

·Develop and communicate technical processes, standards, and best practices within a business unit.

·Drive development of enterprise architecture standards, guidelines and principles, and work with architects and engineers to ensure implementations and architectures are consistent with the spirit of these principles.

·Recognized as the go-to architect for a major product or multiple related products and is seen as a leader within their business unit.

·Leads product design and code reviews; can competently review any aspect of their product or major sub-system.

·Leads and collaborates on solutions across teams within a Business Unit.
