The PayPal Information Risk Management (IRM) team is responsible for identifying, assessing and managing threats, vulnerabilities and associated risks to PayPal’s information assets and resources. A key responsibility of IRM is to ensure a strong and effective partnership with groups across the enterprise. The IRM Consulting & Engagement function exists to enable creation and delivery of products and services commensurate with the desired residual risk profile of the company. This includes providing expertise at the inception, implementation and operation phases of products and solution. The consulting organization is also the business liaison of IRM for initiatives and to maintain high visibility for IRM within the organization.

Reporting to the Directorof IRM Consulting & Engagement, this position will be responsible for providing information risk and security consulting services to other parts of the enterprise.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
-Dedicated trusted Information Risk Management advisor for Product Vertical(s) and Leadership.
-Subject Matter Expert for business lines to facilitate risk management decision-making
Embedded in the business and the Product Lifecycle Processes.
-Works with Central Architecture, Security Engineering, and internal IRM (Information Risk Management) groups to ensure new Products meet current standards and policies.
-Engagements will include architecture review and/or design, threat analysis, vulnerability assessment, and exception review.
-Advise clients of industry leading practices and internal best practices for secure deployments, security architecture, and integration with IRM control frameworks.
-Assist in the development of specifications and requirements for complex technical infrastructure and applications.
-Act as the gateway for Business Lines and their leadership for IRM
-Facilitate collaboration amongst PayPal Risk
-Management organizations to support Product Objectives.
-Provide IRM Consulting Services to support the business line(s).
Communicate Risk Metrics to Business leaders

Role may also include:
-Advise operations teams supporting computer security incident response activities related to intrusion detection monitoring, scanning, cyber threat reporting, and development/implementation of vulnerability mitigation strategies.
-Assist the IRM vendor compliance team in the evaluation of vendor proposals, new and existing security designs, and emerging security technologies and systems.
-Assist in refinement of the engagement model to improve end-to-end engagement and satisfaction of business and technology customers and partners.
-Actively contribute to IRM consulting knowledge management capabilities to enable IRM internal knowledge sharing.
-Use knowledge gained in participation within company initiatives to help shape the direction of IRM’s overall strategy and accompanying roadmap plans to ensure the closest possible alignment.
