Job Description GENERAL SUMMARY
Provide planning, design, implementation and operational support for EMC''s Global Data Network Infrastructure. Troubleshoot and resolve complex data network related issues. Perform technology assessment and hardware and software pilots. Perform requirements analysis and develop hardware/software solutions to meet the business requirements. Coordinate and review the installation of hardware and implementation of software and review network management and monitoring tools. May prepare and maintain operating procedures and associated documentation. Help train and mentor junior technicians.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively seek customer input and take responsibility for customer situations if necessary.
Collaborate with other engineering groups, readily share information with others.
Identify inefficiencies and make suggestions for process improvements.
Work on complex problems and provide innovative suggestions for solutions.
Interface with Global carriers to develop and implement data solutions.
Stay abreast of current technologies, make recommendations based on knowledge and research.
Plan and assist with the architecture of complex global data network infrastructures.
