Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY
Work in teams to execute potential transactions [Mergers and Acquisitions, Joint Venture, Divestiture and Investments] that facilitate EMC’s strategic direction. Develop business plans and complex financial models to analyze and evaluate strategic opportunities. Provide transaction support on due diligence, market analysis and integration. Originate, drive and support transactions over a diverse set of internal and external organizations simultaneously, at times with minimum assistance or direction.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Build complex financial models including cash flow statements, valuation, profit and loss statements, balance sheet metrics, and eps impacts to support transactions.
•Demonstrate sufficient business understanding to ensure financial modeling is conducted in thoughtful and analytical manner
•Conduct due diligence on target companies to analyze the strategic alignment, operational fit, financial strength, management feasibility and cost-benefit.
•Participate in and contribute to the development of detailed business plans and integration frameworks for investments and acquisitions based on diligence.
•Research and maintain an understanding of EMC’s markets and other IT markets and track the companies, major events and transactions in those markets.
•Assist in negotiating terms and conditions of potential transactions.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting with 4-5+ years of experience.
