Job Description
EMC's Marketing Planning and Ops team is responsible for supporting EMC Global Marketing and the organization overall by: 1) Presenting a single view of EMC’s markets, opportunities and performance relative to internal and external measures and 2) developing and implementing best practice operational processes and metrics to drive Marketing effectiveness

The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and research skills and has: the ability to work independently, to handle ambiguity, and to concisely synthesize research and analysis into impactful presentations. In addition, an interest and working knowledge of both Marketing as a function and the industry is necessary for success.

Duties and Responsibilities:The individual in this role is responsible for leading the project needs analysis, helping the project manager define project scope and goals, and determining the set of necessary deliverables. Candidates should have the ability to complete tasks independently or with minimal supervision. She or he should be able to provide resolutions to a diverse range of complex problems often with little supervision. Ideal candidate has an innovative approach to problem solving, regardless of the type of task.

Qualifications and Experience:
The ideal candidate has an undergraduate Liberal Arts or Business degree or Graduate Business (MBA) or Engineering degree. Candidates should have 4-7 year's relevant experience in either a Marketing function, Management Consulting or Corporate Development.

Candidates should possess:
· Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills
· Demonstrated problem solving and leadership skills
· Ability to conduct effective primary research – secure and conduct thorough, probing interviews
· Proven interest in technology and information management
· Proven verbal and written communication skills
· Strong project management skills and ability to work in teams
