Job Description Role Description:EIM Project Managers are individuals who participate in a wide range of Data Management related consulting engagements. These projects are usually related to data management and may include current state assessments; requirements definition and solution design technology solutions; implementing solutions including new tools and technologies, custom or purchased applications; or changes in organizational structures or policies. Individuals may also participate in business case development and financial analyses. Managers are responsible for project planning and prioritization, managing EMC consulting resources, primary client communications, and are held accountable for delivery of results and overall client satisfaction. Responsibilities for Role: · Translate project contract or statement of work into a project plan and resource assignments that can be presented to client and used to manage project progress · Prepare and present project kickoff · Manage communications with clients including scheduling and running status update meetings, collecting information from client resources, setting up interviews and workshops with clients, and preparing status reports · Coordinate getting access to client facilities and environments for EMC resources · Manage EMC personnel assigned to projects, both those located at client locations and those operating remotely. Includes management of off-shore EMC resources and EMC partner resources. · Track and communicate status of project progress and deliverables as prescribed by EMC and client · Track, communicate, and facilitate resolution of project issues or client concerns · Participate in interviews of proposed EMC resources for client assignments · Review project deliverables for professional presentation · Apply appropriate project management discipline. This may include EIM delivery methodology, customer required methodology, a hybrid approach, agile, etc. Skills Required: · Specific EIM Skills Required: · Exposure to various Enterprise Information Management solutions and projects such as Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Data Warehousing, Master Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality, Metadata, and Big Data · Exposure to ITIL process implementation is a plus · General PM Skills Required: · Work-planning, Estimating, Meeting Facilitation, and Issue Resolution · Experience with various project life cycle methodologies including waterfall and agile · Demonstrated leadership including the ability to grow and develop other people. · Ability to translate project requirements into project plans with resources, tasks, deliverables, and timeframes · Experience with MS Project and MS Office Suite · Experience with process and quality management · Ability to manage detailed analysis of business problems and technical environments · Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment · Excellent oral and written English communication skills · Strong teamwork and collaboration skills · Experience with Jira or other enterprise project management tools is a plus · Personal Qualities: · Detail Oriented · Quality Focused · Efficient · Well spoken · Flexible · Collaborative · Motivated Experience Required: · 8+ years experience or a minimum of 5 completed medium to large project implementations · Has lead teams of 6-12 people on projects ranging in duration from 2-8 months; may have lead multiple smaller projects as part of a larger program · Partner, vendor, off-shore resource management experience · Experience on physically distributed projects · 5+ years consulting experience · Experience in workflow and process design (Six Sigma Certification a plus) · PMP or other project management certification a plus Education: · Undergraduate degree (or Graduate degree preferred) in any of the following disciplines: o Engineering o Computer Science o MIS o Other Technology or Business Fields Region NA Apply on Company Website |
