The new Barstow Community Hospital – an advanced facility that will include all private rooms, a much bigger ER, expanded operating suites and diagnostic imaging services area and dramatic improvements in the obstetrical/maternity services area and the intensive care unit.  EmCare will implement a scribe program that allows physicians to spend more time with patients and less time on paperwork.  The new hospital opened on October 13, 2012.
