emPower magazine, an online news site that focuses on social issues (health, education, environmental, political and economical) facing people of African descent in American and globally, is seeking a Marketing Internship to help increase the magazine's brand through social networking and local media, and foster relationships.

This is a telecommuting/virtual internship, which will require between 6-12 hours per week, including weekly Skype conference calls and monthly in-person meetings. All candidates must be in the Washington DC Metro Area.

We are looking for Spring, Summer and Fall interns who can commit to at least six months. Although this internship is for college credit, the intern who get this position and is successful at getting sponsors for emPower events and content will receive 15% commission of the sponsorships dollars received.
