FairWarning Inc. is offering a major career opportunity for the right Senior Public Relations candidate. Reporting to the VP Marketing, this is a high growth opportunity to manage the company’s public relations activities which drive market education and adoption of FairWarning's privacy monitoring solution offerings. As the Senior Public Relations Manager, you will act as the lead with top-tier media, coordinating media related submissions and responses to incoming requests with internal subject matter experts. In this role, you will work closely with senior executives to ensure consistency of brand messaging. FairWarning, Inc. currently provides a software-as-a-service privacy monitoring solution for healthcare providers representing over 1,200 hospitals and 4,800 clinics across the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Europe.
Responsibilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Champion and lead the accomplishment of PR related goals particularly as they relate to FairWarning® targets
Embrace objective measurements of media activities and develop measureable goals, strategies, tactics for continuous improvement across multiple forms including: web, social media in all forms, print periodicals and others as pertinent
Establish a framework to meet, and over time exceed industry peer organizations in the digital health market
Understand and track prioritized, target list of media including periodicals, influencers and governmental organizations used by our customers and prospects to evaluate FairWarning®
Understand and track prioritized, target list of media including periodicals and influencers used by our employees and recruits to evaluate FairWarning®
Understand the “mind-set” of FairWarning® customers and prospects so that FairWarning® can consistently deliver messages that communicate we understand our customer problems, have empathy and offer solutions which address them
Work with product marketing to understand the healthcare privacy market-place including a working knowledge of “peer” digital healthcare companies
Adjust and execute tactics & strategies relative to anticipated changes or actual announcements in the market.
Make strategic PR and messaging recommendations by developing and suggesting leading story angles on healthcare privacy through cutting-edge knowledge of issues and news as well as leveraging internal and external expertise associated with FairWarning®
Build an inventory of relationships on issues and topics which can be used as media sources
Develop product-related materials including thematic responses/Q&As, press releases and internal presentations; manage material approval process
Pursue and secure media opportunities, and monitor for FairWarning® article published in all forms of media
Must view social media as an extension of PR strategy and accomplish goals in key social media properties

EXPERIENCE
Must have 5+ years of public relations including agency or corporate experience positioning SaaS based offerings (healthcare preferred)
Relevant experience working in highly competitive markets
Media-relations experience, particularly with wire services, news outlets, and a working knowledge of social media
Excellent strategic thinking and tactical execution skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with developing communications strategy
Ability to manage outside PR agencies
Strong initiative, sense of urgency and ability to multi-task
Ability to handle and manage issues and crisis scenarios

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in public relations, communications, public health or related field
5+ years of public relations including agency or corporate
