Position Description The Branch Service Manager is responsible for all operational activities of the branch including, but not limited to, driving scale and profitability through operational efficiencies, management of branch infrastructure, and organizing and leading branch processing efforts. The Branch Service Manager also identifies strategic opportunities for the branch and participates on projects beyond the local market, acting as a leader within their peer group andMarket/Division. Primary Responsibilities
  • Manages recruiting and interviewing; makes hiring recommendations regarding non-exempt staff.
  • Responsible for the performance management, coaching and development of financial representatives, relationship managers and client service specialists (non-exempt roles). Responsible for developing sales capability within service staff to support branch succession planning.
  • Manages branch infrastructure including processing and customer service. Responsible for customer experience as defined by front counter, lobby, overseeing telephone activities, ensuring the counter and lobby are staffed appropriately and back office processing activities.
  • Responsible for managing compliance with all policies and procedures. Performs sign off on trade logs, Facts Alerts and other administrative tasks.Accountable for all aspects of the branch audit (including supervision).
  • Overall responsibility for technology, implementation, training, technology support, lobby technology, operational software knowledge and training. Manages both internal and external physical space.
  • Responsible for driving scale and profitability related to operational efficiencies (NIGO's, Account Opening Tool).
  • Functions as primary contact for all branch escalations. Refers sales-related escalations to Branch Manager, keeps Branch Manager appraised of escalation occurrences, trends and patterns.
  • Participates on efforts broader than the local market, including moderating National Operations calls, building relationships with key business partners in OSG and National Operations, etc and sharing best practices.
  • Supports sales by coaching the Financial Representatives and Client Service Specialists in an effort to increase outreach and build market share.

Qualifications Education and Experience
  • Prior operational/trading/risk reduction experience required. (minimum 3 years preferred)
  • Minimum 5-7 years of prior Financial Services experience required
  • Minimum 3-5+ years of Management experience within the Financial Services Industry required.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Prior operational/trading/risk reduction experience required. (minimum 3 years preferred)
  • Minimum 5-7 years of prior Financial Services experience required
  • Minimum 3-5+ years of Management experience within the Financial Services Industry required
  • Excellent judgment skills
  • Strong coaching and associate development capability
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Series9/10, 7 and 63 required prior to hire
  • Series 66 (63/65) required, or to be obtained within 3 months of hire
  • InsuranceLicense and any state license requirements are to be obtainedwithin 6 months of hire
