The Director of Client Service is responsible for the development and adherence of all policies and procedures relating to FMTC Investment Products and custom fund administration. The Director is also accountable for mitigating risk of his/her unit, developing weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual metrics to identify issues, trends and addressing opportunities to mitigate those risks.
The Director has responsibility for managing the Trustee Services workflow processes, and staff involved in custom fund administration products and services. The Director has the accountability for the success of the team.
Fidelity Personal and Workplace Investing (PWI) services plan sponsors by providing recordkeeping, administrative, participant, legal/compliance, consulting, trustee and investment services
PWIs Investment Services group provides investment-related support and education to both internal Personal and Workplace Investing Services (PWIs) associates and external institutional plan sponsor clients and consultants. The Investment Product Control department, within the Investment Services division is a centralized group that provides complete investment product oversight, trust administration and operational subject matter expertise for all investment products offered through PWIS. Primary activities include strategic support of business segments investment product needs and information management and delivery of investment products.
Fidelity Management Trust Company FMTC provides Trust and Custody Services, Custom Fund Administration and investment management solutions to PWI defined contribution and defined benefit clients. The primary responsibility of the Director of Trust Client Services is to provide management and guidance to a team of Account Managers. The Account Managers service Defined Contribution clients, Defined Benefit clients or clients where FMTC is acting as Investment Manager. Typically these clients are PWI recordkept clients whom hire FMTC for trustee and custodian services. The FMTC Client service team is a dedicated group providing expertise on custom fund administration on separate accounts, unitized commingled pools, unitized stock funds, strategy or fund of funds, stable value products, Defined Benefit Solutions, Fidelity Pension Advantage and FMTC investment managed accounts and other investment products.
The Director of FMTC Client Services must have a broad range of knowledge including but not limited to: Department of Labor (ERISA), Responsibilities of a Trustee, standard reporting requirements, back-office understanding of fund accounting, custody, expense processing, settlement, cash movement, pricing and regulatory reporting such as SAS70, plan accounting, 5500, Schedule C, expense ratios, understand recordkeeping, and the value proposition of FMTC and PWI.
