Position Overview

As part of the Solution Delivery organization, the Director, Solution Delivery is responsible for delivering quality products and solutions to customers by understanding product strategy and customer needs, supporting the development of business cases, developing business requirements, and supporting product development and deployment. The Director, Solution Delivery role strategically directs the business analysis and/or project management functions and leads multiple projects with diverse scope and very complex business problems. The Director, Solution Delivery manages and directs their resources through the design, development, and implementation of solutions to enhance business results.

Primary Responsibilities
Program Management Provides and ensures (either directly or through subordinate Project Managers) integrated oversight and controls from initial Project Assessment through to Launch for all Business Readiness and Technology Solution activities and deliverables to ensure that scope is met on schedule and within budget.

Deliverable Management Expert understanding of the Project Life Cycle and accountable for results of all applicable Project Life Cycle deliverables including the following: Project Charter (Project Planning & Initiation-PPI), Business Requirements Document (BRD/ARL), Service Model, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Rollout Procedures (Transition/TRA).
Participates in the review of: Systems Prospectus (Systems Requirements Analysis-SRA), Systems Delivery Specs (SDS), User Procedure Documents (UPD) and Training Documents.

Integrated Project Planning Directs the management and implementation of multiple large and complex projects: develops project plans and timelines; makes staffing decisions based on assessment of team members' skills and workloads; and identifies obstacles. Ensures that project scope is met on schedule and within budget.

Team Management Typically manages a large group of professionals directly, and matrixed managed through other SD delivery groups and business units.

Associate Development Assesses skills, knowledge, and abilities of candidates to make effective hiring and merit/bonus decisions and identifies developmental needs.
Provides training and development opportunities and serves in mentoring role for team.


Education and Experience
Extensive experience in translating business requirements to technical resources (internal and external) in supporting the project - strong documentation skills
Experience in developing team members on effective use of Project Life Cycle methods
Extensive knowledge of business functions and the application of information systems solutions to business problems
10 + years work experience
Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred
PMP certification preferred
Six Sigma experience a plus

Diversity of functional business experiences (e.g. client, operational, systems, marketing, investments, and customer service)
