Description The PWIS Board Support group provides business and financial reporting and analytics to the Fidelity Mutual Fund Board of Trustees on behalf of the PWIS business. The work supports the annual contract approval process for the 400+ mutual funds managed by Fidelity Investments. Fidelity Personal, Workplace and Institutional Services (PWIS) is a division of Fidelity Investments representing Fidelity's retail brokerage, defined contribution and defined benefits, health and welfare, intermediary, and institutional businesses. This position is for a senior financial analyst who possesses strong analytic, project management and communication skills. The role will report directly to the VP of Finance in the Managerial Finance Board Support group and will play a critical role in developing the transfer agent pricing strategy for the Fidelity mutual funds and will lead the redesign of the costing models used in Board Reporting. Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage the project to redesign the Board Support profitability and costing models including Product profitability and Fund profitability for the Fidelity Distribution organizations including Personal Investing, Workplace Investing, and Fidelity Institutional.The project includes assessing synergies and integration with the FCAP development initiative for the Distribution businesses and ensuring consistency with the development efforts in Asset Management.
  • Lead analytics in support of the Transfer Agent pricing strategy for the Fidelity mutual funds.
  • Proactively drive enhancement initiatives to the complex financial models and supporting processes in order to improve group efficiency and to respond to changes in the business including promoting consistency across all business models.
  • Provide analytics in support of the annual Fund Profitability, 12b-1, and Economies of Scale reporting process for the PWIS businesses.
  • Assist in annual Fund Profitability methodology assessment.
  • Provide subject matter expertise related to Fidelity Mutual Transfer Agent fund pricing.
  • Direct the audit and control procedures for the monthly PWIS transfer agent revenue calculation for the Fidelity mutual funds
  • Lead ad-hoc analysis for the group as needed.

Qualifications Education and Experience
  • 12+ years of experience in financial analysis or Master's degree with 10+ years of experience and a track record of high performance.
  • An extensive understanding of Fidelity PWIS businesses and the broader financial services marketplace.
  • A broad understanding of mutual fund pricing, structure and competitive environment.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaboratively work with and influence across a matrix organization.
  • Must possess excellent planning, prioritization, and project management skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and knowledge of financial data, activity based costing principles and analytical modeling.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver in tight deadlines.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial tools (Excel, Essbase, PowerPoint, Brio) and financial modeling.
