Description Attorney sought to support Fidelity Investments businesses that provide retirement plan consulting, recordkeeping, and payroll services. Primary Responsibilities

• Guiding the business on legal matters related to the development and provision of services
• Working collaboratively with associates across the organization, including Compliance, Risk, Relationship Management and Operations, to address day-to-day issues as they arise
• Providing business critical advice and guidance on business plans
• Supporting the negotiation of client and vendor agreements
• Monitoring, analyzing, and helping the business to implement changes to federal, state, and local payroll tax laws

Qualifications Education and Experience

• At least seven years of direct relevant legal experience in law firm and/or in-house practice
• J.D. required

Skills and Knowledge

• The ideal candidate will possess experience with ERISA, tax, and general corporate law, with a working knowledge of payroll and employment law
• A background in contract negotiation is a plus
• This attorney must be able to anticipate business needs and effectively counsel senior business leaders
• He/she must be comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• A willingness to assume responsibilities and take on projects outside primary assignment area on an as-needed basis is expected
