Description Fidelity Investments is hiring a Senior Manager, Solutions Engineeringand Integration to provide team oversight of technology engineering, integration and distribution operations of end user computing solutions for FIMT. The TSO Solutions Engineering Integration team is responsible for the engineering and distribution of high quality technology end user computing products and services that support Asset Management users globally. Our end user technology solutions span integrated infrastructure, platforms, business applications, and distributions that are deployed in a highly available environment. This position requires an experienced manager possessing an eye for holistic systems integration and demonstrated success managing high quality deliverables of a distributed team. Primary Responsibilities Manage the engineering buildout of technology products and projects for introduction into the End User technology environment Manage a team engineering personnel including infrastructure (blade, VDI, Citrix XenApp/XenDesk), OS platform (Win7/OSX/W2K8), applications (AppSense), build package and distributions (Flexera, SCCM/Altiris) within TSO Solutions Engineering Integration including hiring, goal setting, performance management, and staff development Overall management of all assigned project timelines to achieve agreed upon SLAs and OLAs Lifecycle management for all end user computing platforms according to technology roadmap Incident/Problem management escalations for technology issues across the Asset Management environment globally Collaborating with Architectural staff and regional managers to ensure consistent processes and procedures are being followed across the End User Computing team
Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelors Degree, Computer Science is preferred 7+ years of experience managing technologists in an enterprise environment Experience working in a distributed engineering organization Experience managing end user solutions and proven track record delivering superior technology solutions and managing consistency with technology standards and protocols Expert knowledge of Windows Operating Systems including Win 7 Sufficient management experience to own technical details of team and balance leadership to achieve and report on acheivement against published goals Experience managing operational metrics to measure product quality, resource planning, employee productivity, and continuous improvement Skills and Knowledge Proven track record of success in engineering, developing and delivering solutions for enterprise systems in a multi-company enterprise Planning and managing technology projects and changes management (new installations, maintenance of existing and improvements of existing platforms Experience engineering end user computing solutions access via desktops, laptops, mobile devices, Citrix XenDesktop, Citrix XenApp Deep knowledge of and extensive experience with Microsofts enterprise platform Demonstrated leadership in developing and propagating best practices for management of enterprise systems through the full lifecycle from planning to retirement Demonstrated ability to manage multi-disciplinary project teams in high-stress environments with strict time and resource constraints. Formal qualification in project management is a big advantage Excellent oral and written communication skills that convey confidence, knowledge, and customer empathy with an eye for detail Ability to handle multiple technology activities, provide status and insight appropriate for both business and systems managers Clear and innovative thinker, with excellent collaboration and communications skills
