The Online Sales Acquisition team is a part of the overall PWI Digital Distribution team. This group is specifically responsible for the PWI retail website digital experience. This includes but is not limited to digital strategy planning, homepages, customer experience, onsite messaging platforms, redesign of key product sections of the website, online account opening, sales effectiveness of the web channel in support of the business and channel specific support as relates to the Brand, Marketing, and overall PWI business goals. A strong background in digital marketing and website development is essential. This role requires excellent written and oral communication skills, experience in project management, and a highly collaborative nature. Previous Agency experience is a plus.


Job Description:

The continued growth emphasis on digital marketing overall has created a need in the organization for a highly talented digital marketer who can work across capabilities to help define best in class digital marketing programs. In 2012, 46% of the overall media spend was Digital/Online ($75M out of $163M). In addition there is a continuing and evolving need to effectively integrate mobile social marketing into our fully integrated programs.

This VP level role will be responsible for a wide range of digital planning, strategy, and program operation activities that will include the following:

End-to-end digital strategy creation deployment of segment/channel specific programs that align with business goals and require the ability to holistically evaluate define the experience.

Strategy program development including the following areas:

  • Display advertising partner with agency/mktg to develop creative

  • Onsite messaging - strategy/management of dynamic messaging platform (IAM)

  • Campaign management / landing zone program oversight, experience mgmt creation

  • Social partner with existing teams to insure continuity and performance of social areas

  • Mobile understand utilize mobile capabilities within digital plan

  • Conversion work closely with online tools/capabilities team to drive throughput

This role also requires the ability to effectively collaborate and drive consensus through thought leadership and executional excellence. The ability to help define the creative experience based upon the brief and to drive improvements through data driven insights will be paramount. Outstanding ability to evangelize the digital channel, merchandise success, and effectively communicate to partner groups as well as Senior management will be imperative. In order to be successful this role will require the ability to understand and effectively work with integrated marketing, segment, product, creative agencies, measurement capabilities, and any related extended stakeholders/capabilities. Direct accountability will be required for related program KPI, development of repeatable sustainable processes, and alignment with broader digital goals and metrics.


Qualifications Education and Experience:
  • College degree plus at least 10 years experience
  • Marketing background with online emphasis
  • Strong background in marketing and website development is essential
  • Historical success working in a multi-stakeholder environment
Skills and knowledge:
    • Marketing background with demonstrable online focus

    • Experience with online advertising, message development, landing zone creation, and understanding of media/trafficking processes

    • Ability to direct evaluate creative concepts and provide relevant, actionable feedback

      • Translate brief to creative to experience effectively

      • Effectively create go to market strategies using a segment marketing approach

    • Proven campaign management and understanding of direct response marketing principles and practices

    • Strong project management multitasking skills (previous agency experience desirable)

    • Excellent communication skills written/oral

    • Strategic thinking ability to assess role of the digital channel within the broader marketing mix/plans and to illustrate/document proposed support solutions specifically as relates to the holistic experience

    • Measurement ability to work within Fidelity systems to evangelize measurement and to work with extended teams to define measurement plans

    • Proactive can do attitude solution oriented.

    • Collaborative nature and historical success working in a multi-stakeholder environment
