Position Summary:

This position, part of the Supply Chain Planning Team, supports the supply chain business functions by preparing, analyzing, reporting, and acting upon operational data from our data warehouse. Areas of support include inventory planning, demand planning, purchasing, transportation, distribution operations, sales & marketing, procurement and manufacturing.

Essential Functions:

* Analyze data and make recommendations in order to achieve profitability, customer service and inventory goals.
* Utilize software applications (SQL Server, Access, Excel etc.) to develop department-wide tools for inventory planning reporting metrics.
* Adapt and collaborate best practices with company divisions to achieve supply chain alignment and best practice methodology
* Execute quantitative analysis to solve problems, overcome constraints and measure the impact of project initiatives.
* Reliably manage internal processes daily for service, inventory and other planning tools, thereby ensure timely and accurate information availability.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results based on project definition and milestones.
* Develop new metrics to drive best practice methodology for cost, service and quality.
* Break down current processes and identify opportunities for enhancement, eliminate waste, and/or automate.
* Agile and flexible. Able to work in a fast moving, demanding environment and move from project to project as needed.
* Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

* Excel, Access, SQL, DTS/SSIS, Data warehouse, Oracle familiarity
* B.S in Logistics, Supply Chain, Statistics/Math or Information Technology
* PC and mainframe system familiarity
* Strong relational database skills
* Problem solving ability
* Advanced technical SQL skills are a plus.
* 3-5 years experience, preferably in a high volume, multi-location distribution environment, concentrating in distribution operations, inventory management, forecasting or transportation.
* Detailed-oriented with the ability to analyze / understand a large volume of data.
* Understanding of relationships between the planning systems and the effects on the inventory and service levels.
* APICS certification preferred

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:

* B.S in Logistics, Supply Chain, Statistics/Math or Information Technology
* Advanced analytical and problem solving abilities. Demonstrated experience in analyzing significant amounts of data and turning it into actionable information.
* Demonstrated ability to independently take ownership of initiatives and drive execution.
* Sense of urgency and priority.
* Excellent interpersonal skills to apply in communications with business partners, corporate divisions and business units
