This position will perform key analytical and data research functions within the Data Management team, including leading analysis, creating documentation, coordinating resolution, and creating communications around data issues and/or abnormalities and its impact to the business. In addition, the individual will administer the tools and environment in support of model management, data quality analysis, reference data management, and the metadata repository. This role is responsible for the management of FM Global’s meta-data assets through the development and refinement of the enterprise and project specific logical data models and/or the infrastructure that supports this process.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information technology, related discipline, or equivalent work experience with a non-related Bachelor degree.
• 3 years of experience in data management/ governance desired
• Evidence of strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience in data modeling desired
• Experience in the development of data administration standards and guidelines and
  utilization of best practices desired
• Experience in project management or leading teams desired

Technical Knowledge:

• Ability to write SQL queries using complex joins
• SharePoint distributed admin knowledge desired
• Knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle, specific to data related artifacts
• Knowledge of SQL Server, Red Gate, DataFlux, and Embarcadero desired
• High level understanding of FM Global application and data landscape desired

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of data modeling tools desired
• Knowledge of data analysis and data requirements including content analysis and data mapping
• Knowledge of business analysis and business requirements gathering desired
