Entertainment/Information/Vehicle Systems Engineering – SYNC Gen 1 and Gen 2 Systems
Responsibilities
Job Duties:
• Core Requirements
• Author complex functional specifications at component and sub-system level
• Interface with groups directly or indirectly involved in SYNC Sub-systems (i.e. Netcom, PCM, BCM, Audio Control Module , RCM, Driver Info) to ensure compatibility for new designs
• Ensure products meet function, quality, cost, weight, and timing requirements
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor or Masters Degree in Engineering (BSEE required, Masters preferred)
• 2-3 years in Infotainment, Body Module, or associated system specification writing
• Experience and understanding of vehicle electrical systems, design, and development
• Ability to interface effectively with suppliers and other Ford activities
• Experience with engineering disciplines (elements of D/PFMEA, DVP, P-diagram, ES, 8D, and DOE)

Experience Desired:
• Experience with design and development of automotive embedded voice recognition technology
• Experience with design and development of off-board service integration into automotive platform
• Experience in design and release processes
• Experience with CAN-based diagnostic and development tools
• Experience in HMI and HMI tools
