We are currently looking for a Sr. Business Finance Manager to join our Financial Planning and Analysis – Accounting department in Skokie, IL. Experience in the Professional Services and/or Management Consulting industries required. This role reports to Director, Financial Planning and Analysis. JOB SUMMARY: Provide strategic financial support to the business through financial analysis, pricing analysis, reporting and driving process improvement initiatives. Manage the Senior Business Pricing Analyst in pricing, reporting and analytical activities. Manage dotted line Senior Accountant in reporting and analytical activities. Analyze daily, weekly and monthly trends of the business, providing insights on pipeline, resource utilization, attrition, cost management and overall, the steps that can be taken to drive improved profitability and the attainment of the annual goal. Support Executive Leadership in their bi-weekly Senior Leadership Team meetings. Lead, coach and mentor the team from a financial literacy perspective and help business leads identify levers that can be pulled to drive improved performance. Develop processes to support the business in terms of the annual operating budget, periodic forecast and review of monthly financial statements and results. Promote a strong system of internal controls and pursue opportunities to drive process improvements to improve effectiveness and efficiency of the back office business processes. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyze monthly financial statements and communicate results to business leadership. Identify trends and suggest actions to drive improved performance. Analyze historic data to reach relevant and rational business conclusions and accurately communicate findings. Lead scenario modeling and other analysis efforts for the development and growth of the portfolios of the business. Pursue process improvement opportunities, best practice initiatives and support the development of a strong internal control environment. Participate as a key thought leader of the team, influencing decision making, and strategy of the business. Establish processes to prepare a timely and accurate annual operating plan as well as periodic re-forecasts of the business. Manage the Senior Business Pricing Analyst in pricing, reporting and analytical activities over new business opportunities as well as its interaction with the business on on-going long term agreements. Manage the dotted line Senior Accountant for PS in its reporting and analysis of historical results. Minimum and/or Preferred Qualifications: EDUCATION: · Bachelors degree required, preferably in Finance or Accounting. · MBA strongly preferred. EXPERIENCE: · 7 – 10 years of progressive financial management experience. o 3 - 5 years experience as a direct liaison supporting Business leadership preferred. o Experience with financial statement analysis, operational accounting and finance. o Accountability for financial projections, the annual budget and financial metrics. o Experience in process analysis and documentation required. · Experience in the Professional Services and/or Management Consulting industries strongly preferred. · Previous experience with Oracle ERP preferred. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: · CPA or CFP certification preferred SKILL REQUIREMENTS · Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills for significant interaction with all levels of the organization. · Ability to partner with key stakeholders as a trusted business advisor. · Strong analytical abilities. Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products, with advanced/expert skills in Excel. · Strong management ability to lead and develop direct and indirect reports · Strong written and verbal communication skills. · Ability to work in a highly-interactive, fast-paced environment. · Ability to proactively build agenda and roadmap for success.
