Job Description:

Foth is a consulting engineering, science and construction services firm delivering technical solutions for public and private clients around the corner and around the globe. We are currently seeking a self-directed, results-oriented Client Team Leader for our Toronto, Canada location.


 



  • Lead business development opportunities with existing and potential clients, manage a portfolio of mining projects and leverage sales from existing relationships

  • Provide project and technical leadership on complex, multi-disciplined projects including managing budget, schedule, regulatory and contractual commitments 


  • Participate in strategic planning, development, deployment, and growth of services to the mining industry


  • Act as a Client Team Leader/Project Manager for mining industry projects, assemble project teams, monitor project performance and mentor/coach team members


  • Anticipate project staffing needs and provide input to selection of project team members


  • Establish objectives and provide performance feedback to project team members


  • Manage pricing and negotiate changes to the scope of work with clients and subcontractors


  • Anticipate problems and work with clients, subcontractors, and project teams to provide direction;  document and execute changes in scope of project


  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills


  • Lead, coordinate and build teamwork among other team members/disciplines at all levels


  • Demonstrate behavior consistent with Foth Basic Principles and Values


  • Work collaboratively and build effective relationships with others


  • Communicate effectively across all levels within organization


  • Maintain a positive attitude


  • Travel as required (domestic and/or international) for site visits, field work and/or other client/business objectives



 


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • BS Geotechnical, Geological, Mining or Environmental Engineering, Hydrology, or Geology


  • 15+ years of experience with geo-environmental studies in support of mine site development, engineering feasibility, design, or construction management/administration in the mining industry with an emphasis on tailings and waste rock management, mine site hydrology and geochemistry.


  • 15+ years of project management experience including design of tailings and waste rock storage facilities


  • Previous experience performing in a leadership role

  • Professional engineer registration or geologist registration in one of Canadian provinces


  • Previous business/client development experience 



 


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • MS Geotechnical, Geological, Water Resources, Mining or Environmental Engineering or Geology


  • 20+ years experience with understanding of the consulting engineering and mining business
