Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Provide hardware and software design for Industrial Manufacturing projects in consumer products industries

  • Provide technical engineering design support for industrial projects and electrical systems including low voltage (600 VAC) power distribution

  • Work directly with client to develop scope, resolve conflicts, and strengthen the Foth-Client relationship

  • Work simultaneously on multiple project and client teams

  • Prepare proposals to include scope definition and estimating engineering hours

  • Provide installation and start up support

  • Produce high quality project deliverables while working in a collaborative team environment

  • Execute and coordinate programming and design of PLC, HMI, VFD and Servo Motion related projects from hardware design and software integration through construction start up

  • Lead the development of all project related documentation, schedules, and cost estimates

  • Generate design packages and direct CAD resources

Required Qualifications:



  • BS Electrical Engineering

  • 10+ years experience with specifying, installing and troubleshooting machine and process controls systems

  • 5+ years experience with each of the following platforms; Distributed Controls Systems (DCS), Allen Bradley Control-Logix and PLC5

  • 5+ years experience with low voltage (up to 600 VAC) power distribution systems with exposure to: transformers, panel boards, grounding systems and capacitor banks

  • Project Management experience

  • Previous experience demonstrating strong  oral/written communication

  • Previous experience setting priorities and meeting commitments




Preferred Qualifications:



  • 15+ years of industry-relevant experience

  • Experience with Honeywell DCS (Experion, TDC 3000 or TDC 2000)

  • Experience with Medium voltage (up to15 kV) power distribution systems

  • Motor Control Center (MCC) experience

  • Experience with facilities electrical systems including HVAC, lighting, power, communications, security, fire, supervisory systems, etc.

  • Hazardous area classification experience

  • Rockwell variable frequency and servo drive experience

  • Rockwell software machine level (PanelBuilder or RSViewME) HMI programming experience

  • PE
