Job Responsibilities:

* Provides diagnostic, repair or replacement services on customers gas or diesel motorhomes

* Perform maintenance -- such as engine and transmission service, brake jobs, dash a/c and heat, steering and suspension work, also works on vehicle electrical systems.

* Provides cradle to grave” customer service

* Keeps track of parts and materials used in repair or replacement activities

* Plans sequence of functions necessary for repair or replacement activities

* Keep units and equipment secure from weather

* Keeps supervisor apprised of work progress and ensures that the final work product is inspected by supervisor or designee

* Demonstrates operation of newly installed equipment

* Performs related troubleshooting tasks based on skill level

* Monitors operation of newly installed equipment

* Maintains a safe work area for customers and coworkers

* Monitors operation of newly installed equipment

* Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, crawling, and bending

* May lift up to 25 lbs and/or move up to 50 lbs with assistive devices

* Exposure to heights and hazards related to working with electrical and welding equipment

* Enviornment conditions include heat, cold, humidity, noise, dust and wetness
 
 
Qualifications

Education/Experience:

* ASE Certification or one to two years of experience working on trucks and large vehicles or equivalent

* RVIA certification or one to two years of experience as a RV service repair technician highly desired

* High school education or equivalent Working knowledge of activities, methods, procedures and policies of the shop

* Read, interpret and speak English

* Basic math skills needed

* Working knowledge of proper and safe use of equipment

* Excellent organizational/sequencing skills

* Familiarization with reading and interpreting diagrams

* Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record

* Forklift experience/certification preferred or ability to be certified required
