The Freedom Trail Foundation is a 50 year old non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting Bostons Freedom Trail and its distinct historic character and important role in the American Revolution. The Freedom Trail® is marked by a 2.5 mile red-brick line that runs throughout Boston, along and into 16 nationally significant historic sites. The mission of the Freedom Trail Foundation is to promote and help preserve the Freedom Trial®. In addition, the Freedom Trail Foundation operates the Freedom Trail Scholars program which brings a one-hour interactive, educational program about the American Revolution to Boston and surrounding area schools.
