DescriptionWe are the World Leader in Dialysis Products and Services with a position available for a Supplier Development Engineer in our expanding North America Manufacturing Strategic Procurement organization. This position requires Bachelor of Science degree (B. S.) in Engineering or equivalent degree from four-year University, and five to seven years of manufacturing experience in the quality engineering function with at least four years experience in supplier identification, evaluation, selection and qualification. Description Responsibilities include: The Supplier Development Engineer is responsible for providing technical support to the Strategic Procurement organization in developing and qualifying new and alternative suppliers or materials for the North America Manufacturing Plants, in an effort to improve quality and/or reduce cost. Initiates material/supplier related cost reduction activities including Lean Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement projects. Assists Plant Quality Departments in resolving supplier production or quality issues. Responsible for identification, recommendation and development of new materials/suppliers, in close coordination with RD and Plant Quality and Manufacturing Management. Gains buy in and approvals for new material/supplier qualification projects from appropriate Plant and Division Management. Responsible for leading and executing all Design Control requirements for material/supplier projects as well as other related plans/reports. Requirements Requirements include: Experience with broad base of commodities including electronics, metal fabrication, custom manufacturing equipment, plastics and chemicals, desired. Medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing experience required as well as working knowledge of ISO and CFR requirements as they pertain to medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturing. Design Control experience required, preferably in a medical device and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. We offer: Competitive wages and benefits. Annual performance and salary reviews.
