SUMMARY

Working with general supervision, theRefurbishment Leadensures that refurbishment functions are completed daily, on time, accurately, and with minimal labor expense. Additionally, the Lead ensures that associates are well trained in order to achieve and exceed BuyMyTronics’ quality and production standards. This position supports other departments/zones as needed to achieve the overall business objectives of the refurbishment department. This role interacts with a supervisor several times a week to receive guidance and feedback. Most non-routine activities will require a supervisor’s advance approval.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

* Lead and monitor the daily activities of refurbishment associates and generate reports on team performance.
* Inspect quality of associates’ work to ensure that products are being processed correctly with BuyMyTronics quality standards.
* Order parts from various suppliers and ensure parts are in stock when needed.
* Coach, train, develop, retain, and redirect associates as needed in order to produce and maintain a successful team.
* Update production, quality and accuracy charts/records in Microsoft Excel and look for trends based on the data.
* Communicate any issues to management that could result in delays, safety issues, or anything else that would cause a financial loss to the company or injury or lost time for its associates.
* Consistent with the general nature of this role, work collaboratively with others throughout operations to achieve or exceed department objectives; assist in or lead special projects as directed.
* Follow all known safety procedures and utilize good operational, loss prevention and safety judgment at all times.
* Perform associate job duties as needed; specifically,
* repair broken or test fail devices on a daily bases (broken LCD to bad software), and
* pull broken stock and recognize what is worth repairing economically.
* Prepare production reports in Excel as required.
* Maintain training documentation by updating data contained in computer software; report information to management team as needed.
* Work closely with other team members to ensure daily production, quality, and safety goals are achieved, which may include some relevant, non-data, non-administrative duties.

BASICAND PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS

* High school diploma or equivalent GED required —accredited Associate’s degree preferred, in a technically-focused field of study
* At least 2-4 years of relevant work experience required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES

*    Expert understanding of consumer electronics
* Expert ability to communicate effectively with management and co-workers using written and spoken English, including the ability to provide clear feedback to others —bilingual English/Spanish communication skills preferred
* Proficient knowledge of business computer systems and applications — specifically, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access
* Proficient ability to read/comprehend complex displayed and/or printed statistical data/information and reports
* Possess working analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
* Proficient ability to perform basic math functions accurately (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
* Proficient ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others; conducts working relationships in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization
