Location: US-NY-NEW YORK Other Locations: General Summary- This role will report into the Director of Merchandise Analytics and will support global merchandising and financial strategies to drive increased productivity and profitability Analytics Responsibilities: • Build data mining and data visualization techniques to support analytics for the global merchandising organization • Identify and execute automation and process improvement strategies to support global reporting and tools for the merchandising organization • Provide in-depth analysis and actionable insights to identify opportunities and support global assortment and price optimization, with a focus on increased productivity and profitability • Design and execute best in class” global analytic tools and reporting to support meetings and influence decision-making process • Develop expertise in all systems, databases, and analytics initiatives; identify and work to solve gaps and roadblocks to unlock” potential insights, particularly with location and product attributes; find and apply optimal solutions for global merchandising organization. Relationship building: • Partner with cross-functional analytics teams, including operations strategy, Business Intelligence, and inventory management to drive execution of merchandise analytics insights • Partner with director to balance workload and priorities; solicit decision support when needed • Participate in company/corporate initiatives and be a true thought partner in driving productivity • Strong mathematical and statistical aptitude with an ability to synthesize large amounts of data and complex operational processes to develop actionable insights • Experience in integrating data across multiple platforms and systems • Expertise in working with and mastering various business intelligence systems and databases as well as data visualization tools; SQL and SAS code strongly preferred • Working knowledge of applicable gap systems desirable (Microstrategy, SAS Stat, Teradata) • Willingness to challenge the status quo to improve efficiency and effectiveness • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast paced environment • Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities with a willingness to learn and improve processes • Ability to work independently and with teams interchangeably to deliver results • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required • 2-4 years experience of relevant work experience in data analytics Apply on Company Website |
