Job Duties Responsibilities GEICO – a proven online, mobile and industry leader -- seeks a proven highly motivated, experienced Senior Internal Auditor to join our Internal Audit team. • Reviewing and leading all stages of reviews / projects conducted by the audit staff
• Developing schedules for completion of reviews / projects and monitoring progress for timely completion
• Training and mentoring the staff
• Providing input on performance of staff and communicating performance results on reviews/projects
• Conducting all stages of audits / projects independently as assigned
• Participating in Enterprise Risk Assessments and other assigned duties
• Recommending appropriate technical controls
• Maintaining professional certification Candidate Qualifications • 4 - 6 years of experience leading technical IT reviews
• Strong technical, leadership, analytical/critical thinking, decision-making, and problem solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts
• Understanding of IT auditing, internal controls and regulatory compliance is required
• Familiarity with controls for networks, operating systems, distributed and mainframe environments is also required to be successful in the position
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, information systems or computer science preferred, as well as CISA or CIA certification
• Previous work or audit experience in a large IT environment is preferred
